THE HISTORY OF LYNGSOE RAINWEAR
Lyngsoe Rainwear offers a full range of rainwear and Flame Retardant rainwear which offers a wider selection of garments than ever before – including several exciting new products such as our new FR ARC range of garments. We have solutions for all aspects of the workplace as well as for the private user too.
Our High Visibility products are all tested to the standard EN ISO 20471 to give you the best product to ensure your safety.
At Lyngsoe Rainwear, we have been making garments since 1999 and our Distribution Centre is based in Herning, Denmark. We hold approximately 600,000 garments on stock, ensuring fast and reliable delivery and service to more than 30 countries around the world.
Our technical sales team are readily available to support our customers and users at all times and should you need help in understanding or specifying a garment or selecting the right product for your requirements, we will be only too pleased to help you.
Northern Workwear Ltd. was appointed to be the exclusive Canadian distributor for Lyngsoe Rainwear brand products in 2019.




Environment:
The supplier must ensure that their working procedure has a minimum of adverse Impact on the environment. Especially our partners to:
- Comply with all applicable environmental laws on the country you are working within, and also obtain and maintain the necessary, permits and licenses.
- Establish systems and procedures for ensuring the safe handling, movement, storage, disposal, recycling, reuse of management of raw materials, waste, air emissions and waste of water. Any waste which potential could impact human or environmental health shall be controlled and have high priority.
- Avoid contamination of the local environment by preventing spills and accidental releases and ensure that air, noise and odor pollution is within the nationally defined limits.
- Continuously improve environmental performance by setting new targets, initiating action plans and undertaking necessary improvements set by internal or external assessments.
Health and Safety:
The supplier shall provide their employees with a safe, health and hygienic workplace as well as accommodations, where the company provides this. We require our suppliers to:
- Implement effective programs and systems to ensure the safety of workers by minimizing work-related accidents and illness, and provide protection against exposure to chemical, biological or physical hazards in the working environment in any accommodation that is provided to the employee.
- Identify and assess emergency situations and implement emergency plans and response procedures in the workplace and in any accommodation provided by the company. Provide the sufficient fire exists, escape routes and firefighting equipment.
- Provide unlimited access to drinking water and hygienic toilet facilities in the workplace and in any accommodation provided by the company.
- Continuously improve safety performances by setting targets, initialing action plans to and undertaking necessary improvements identified by internal or external assessments.
Labor Practice:
The supplier shall respect the human rights of workers and treat employees with dignity and respect. Especially we respect our partners to follow the advisement of Labor practices:
- The supplier must pay employees at least the minimum wage required by law or the prevailing industry standard in the country, whichever is higher, and must provide all legally mandated benefits, including medical insurance, social insurance and pensions in full and on time.
- Employees must not be required to work more than 48 hours a week. Overtime shall be voluntary and must not exceed 12 hours per week or the limit on regular hours and overtime allowed by local laws and regulations.
- The supplier must not hire or employ children younger than 15 years or minimum set by national laws in the country of manufacturing, whichever is higher. Younger employees i.e. those above the minimum age and below the age of 18, may only be employed for non-hazardous work.
- The supplier shall not discriminate with regard to race, color, gender, language, political or other opinion, caste, national or social origin, property, birth, union affiliation, sexual orientation, health status, age, disability or other distinguishing characteristics. Any employment-related decisions, from hiring to termination and retirement, must be based only on relevant and objective criteria.
- The supplier must not participate in or benefit from any form of forced labour, including bonded labour, indentured labour, slave labour or human tracking. Workers shall be allowed to move around freely and leave their place of work when their shift ends.
- The supplier must protect workers from any form of physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment, abuse or threat in the workplace by either their fellow workers or their managers.
Ethics:
The supplier shall act within integrity while conducting business.
- The supplier must comply with all laws and regulations on bribery, corruption and prohibited business practices applicable in the specific country. The suppliers shall not engage in any form of bribery, corruption, extortion or embezzlement. The suppliers must not give or receive bribes to obtain undue or improper advantage. The suppliers shall not refrain from offering expensive gifts and extravagant entertainment to Lyngsoe Rainwear purchasers or other counterparts in Lyngsoe Rainwear in an attempt to influence business decisions.
Compliance:
The supplier must in all time, in addition to meeting the provisions of this code, comply with all nation laws and regulations. Should there be any difference between the content of this code and the national laws, the supplier must adhere to the more stringent requirements. Lyngsoe Rainwear will evaluate conflicts between the provision of this code and national laws or their applicable standards in corporation with the supplier. Suppliers must be able to document their compliance, and if conflicts are detected, supplier must inform Lyngsoe Rainwear immediately.
Lyngsoe Rainwear believes that building long-term relationships with suppliers in crucial for our business. We value honest and open communication either the suppliers and believe that transparency is vital to a successful business relationship. In the event of non-compliance, we require our suppliers to be committed and engaged in remedying the non-compliance issues within the time schedule set out in the corrective action plan. Lyngsoe Rainwear seeks to continuously improve together with our suppliers and help them Achieve compliance with the provisions of the code, while reserving the right to terminate any agreements.
